The Junior High Orchestras will have two types of playing tests this year. "Spot Checks" will occur during class and will be small excerpts that are graded on a Pass/Fail basis. If a student doesn't pass the test on the first try, they can try again (on a later date) as many times as necessary to earn a passing grade. "Playing Tests" will be recorded by video camera, and will be graded using the Evaluation Form below. Check here for listings of specific dates and pieces for future playing tests.

Our next playing test is coming up soon! Here are the dates and "possible spots."
Mrs. Johnson will select one of these three spots for you to play on the day of your test.


8th Grade (3rd hour will test on Mon 11/21 and Tue 11/22)

   1st Violins: 122-End

   Cellos and Basses: 97-117
Christmas Song (Chestnuts):
   1st Violins, Cellos, Basses: 13-30
   2nd Violins: 21-36
   Violas: 8-21
Three King Strut:
   Violins and Violas: 5-30
   Cellos and Basses: 42-64
