Fifth Grade Orchestra Concert Info 2024-2025

Monday, Dec 2, 2024, 7:00 pm, Our First Concert! - Jenison Center for the Arts
This concert will be an "informance" for family and friends to see everything we have learned in our first few months of orchestra! Students should arrive at the JCA by 6:40 pm, and should leave their cases in the dressing room before reporting directly to the stage to get tuned. Students should wear dressy clothes and should bring their instrument, music book, and all music papers with them. This concert will conclude at approximately 7:40 pm.

Wednesday, Apr 30, 2025, 7:00 pm, String Spectacular Concert! - Jenison Center for the Arts
This concert will feature the 5th Grade Orchestra, along with the 8th Grade and High School Symphony Orchestras. Students should arrive at the JCA by 6:40 pm, and should leave their cases in the dressing room before reporting directly to the stage to get tuned. Students should wear dressy clothes and should bring their instrument, music book, and all music papers with them. This concert will conclude at approximately 8:15 pm.

What to wear:
Orchestra students in the 5th Grade are asked to wear nice/dressy clothes when performing at concerts. If possible, it is best to avoid jeans, sneakers, and T-shirts or sweatshirts with logos on them. If wearing a skirt or dress, please also wear leggings underneath. Female cello players should also avoid shorter or form-fitting skirts, as they don't allow for correct cello posture.
