Fifth Grade Orchestra Class Schedule
Each Fifth Grade Orchestra student has orchestra class three times per week; twice each week from 8:00-8:45am at the Jr High, and once each week at approximately 1:00pm at their elementary building.
Each class is 45 minutes long, and occurs weekly using the following schedule (2023-2024):
Transportation is automatically provided from the Jr High back to each elementary school after the 8am classes.
Bauerwood: Mon* PM, Wed AM, Fri AM
Bursley: Mon AM, Wed AM, Thur PM
El Puente: Mon AM, Wed AM, Fri PM
Pinewood: Mon AM, Tue PM, Fri AM
Rosewood: Mon* PM, Wed AM, Fri AM
Sandy Hill: Mon AM, Wed PM, Fri AM
*On Monday afternoons, a bus will pick up Bauerwood and Rosewood students and bring them to the Jr High, due to construction in those buildings.

Cancelled Morning Classes
*When JPS is not in session, there will be no orchestra classes.
*When JPS has a half-day, the afternoon classes will not meet.
*When JPS has a 2-hour delay, the 8am orchestra class is CANCELLED for that morning.
Important Dates for 2023-2024 5th Grade Orchestra:
Tue Sep 5 OR Wed Sep 6 - 5th Grade Orchestra classes begin (follow the normal weekly schedule, no Mon classes this week)
Wed, Dec 6 - All 5th Grade Orchestra members attend the 8am class at the JCA! (No PM class at Sandy Hill.)
Wed, Dec 6, 7:00pm in the JCA - Our First Concert!
Fri, Dec 8 - No 8am Class for any 5th Graders
Fri, Dec 22 - No 5th Grade Orchestra classes
Fri Jan 26 - No 5th Grade Orchestra classes
Tue Feb 27 & Wed, Feb 28 - No 5th Grade Orchestra classes (directors gone at District Festival)
Mon, Apr 29 - All 5th Grade Orchestra members attend the 8am class! (No PM class for Rosewood or Bauerwood.)
Wed, May 1 - All 5th Grade Orchestra members attend the 8am class at the JCA! (No PM class at Sandy Hill.)
Wed, May 1, 7:00pm in the JCA - String Spectacular Concert!
Fri, May 3 - No 8am Class for any 5th Graders
Fri, May 17 - Last 5th Grade Orchestra Class of the year
May 20, 22, 24 - "Bass Explorer" classes for students interested in switching to string bass
